Day 17

Started the day with the traditional coffee and beignets at Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter.  Basically warm donut biscuits covered with powdered sugar.  Took a walk through the French Market and then we took a guided  tour of the city.  What a great city. And what a lot of history.  French and Spanish influences everywhere.  Great character and diversity.  They are still recovering from Hurricane Katrina, but most areas show good progress.  Back to the hotel for a break, then off in search of entertainment and food.  So much to see, so little time.
